Course details
With guidance and support from our experienced tutor, enjoy the mindful experience of drawing the human figure. These sessions are designed to be accessible to everyone and build confidence in drawing.
Beginners are very welcome, do let the tutor know so they can give you extra support
The sessions also give professional artists who simply want the opportunity to work from a model a regular space to develop their practice.
Steve Dove runs our regular Thursday evening sessions and a team of different tutors will bring their own style to our Saturday morning classes. On the first Saturday of the month there will be the option to draw all day from 10:30am – 4:15pm with a 45 minute lunch break.
The model will typically be nude, we use both male and female models. There will be occasional sessions where the model will be in costume.
Please remember no under 16’s but 16-18 year olds welcome if accompanied.

Life Drawing classes are held at a separate venue, The Island Centre, a large Victorian building located a few minutes down the road from the School.

WHAT TO BRING
A supply of materials and paper will be available to borrow. You are also welcome to bring your own materials and waterbased paint if you wish to do so.

Saturday
10:30 – 1pm & 10:30 – 4:15pm (1st Sat of month)
These are taught by our team of specialist tutors each with a different approach and focus. The model will typically be nude with the occasional model in costume.

6:30 – 8:30pm
Working with short poses from the nude life model or, occasional model in costume, evening life drawing sessions are led by the highly experienced artist Steve Dove.

Please note
No photographs or filming in the life drawing class.
16-18 year old’s welcome if they are accompanied by an adult (parent/carer). The parent/carer will be required to enrol onto the class and give consent
No under 16s. We put these guidelines in place for the safety, comfort and enjoyment of all our students.
